Recent events in my life will be presented in reverse chronological order starting with the most recent:

Avenue Q: Wicked fucking hilarious musical. I'd watch it again in a second. I thought the range of ages of people was really astounding. There were not too many kids, but I was surprised to see old women in the audience (appearently some of them left disgusted after the puppet sex scene, but at least they came). It really is the funniest theatrical performance I have ever seen in this state (including everything, it is tied with a poduction of All Wear Bowlers that I saw while in DC over Spring Break).

Push Man and other stories: Is a collection of works by Yoshihiro Tatsumi (a great indipendent manga-ka) from 1969 (I think...) It's really good. If you see it at the library, check it out.

Boom Blox: Such a fun game, It's basically blocks in a physics engine on the Wii. It's so good. The multiplayer is intelligent (I really enjoy the Jenga game of sliding blocks out of the shape without dropping the penalty block) and the single player challenges, while very easy to pass, are very hard to score gold in (I'm not very far because I feel like I haven't beaten a challenge until I have gold and/or I've finished the shape in one throw). One of the best Wii games out and way easier to control than silly Mario Kart Wii (which I've also played recently).

The Boiling Rock: Avatar update I won't spoil anything here but I cannot wait for Avatar to start showing up again in the US on Nick. I'm conflicted about the Finale; I want to see it as soon as humanly possible, but I feel a sense of duty to Nick. Like maybe I should wait until they show it here, watch it in real time on the television or something...

XKCD: Man I've been missing out on this comic. It's freakin' written for me! I read through the entire archive in a night. I almost never appreciate all of the jokes someone makes, but I happen to have the math, science, and videogame knowledge to get everything. It's freaking cool!

Iron Man: Awesome movie. If you beg to differ then you are obviously confusing this movie with something else (or its videogame, which is uninspired and dull). I was afraid that it would be as bad (story-wise) as Transformers. But really, this is what Transformers should have been. It was intelligent, witty, character driven, and had awesome special effects. What more can one ask for in a superhero movie? Oh, yeah. AVENGERS MOVIE! There's info around the interblags about the Iron Man 2, Thor movie, the Captain America movie, and The Avengers movie. The first two are due out in 2010 and the last two in 2011. I'm already psyched

There may be other things (Animazement coming up and me desperately trying to scrape stuff together for it while working on a huge animation project for creative writing comes to mind) but those will probably be touched on later...
